Since its inception Golden Isles Presbyterian Church has made a strong commitment to missions. We believe every Christian is called to be involved in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and making disciples. We encourage every member to consider what part they are to play in reaching the world for Christ, beginning in our community and extending to the ends of the earth. All are encouraged to be involved, whether by praying, giving or going.

One way that GIPC has stimulated interest in missions is through our Annual World Missions Conference (usually in early November), designed to keep the challenge of missions before us. Knowledgeable speakers, as well as new and experienced missionaries, are invited to share with us their vision for evangelizing the nations and seeing the gospel transform lives and culture.

During our annual conference every member is urged to make a "Faith Promise" commitment to world missions. This commitment is above and beyond the tithe. Each member looks to the Lord in faith asking how much He would have them give and then promises to give as the Lord directs. Faith Promise cards are then submitted to the church office anonymously to inform the Missions Committee what it can anticipate to receive in the coming year. Our Faith Promise year begins January 1. We encourage you, as God leads, to pray about involving yourself in the Faith Promise.
